New York Community Bancorp Is A Safe Investment

Value investing and Benjamin Graham-influenced hedge fund, Kahn Brothers, owned 3.2 million shares of New York Community Bancorp (NYSE:NYCB) in its latest filings. Its position was worth $59 million at NYCB's price as of writing. Other funds with positions in NYCB include Winton Capital and quant funds Renaissance Technologies and AQR Capital. Winton increased its position by 140% to almost 1.3 million shares; Renaissance upped its stake by 11% to 1 million shares; and AQR owned 586,000 shares after increasing its holdings by 6%.
